My Blackberry Curve Can Break Afterall

For a long time, after saving some hard-earned money and after much persuasion from a very close friend, I finally decided to get myself a Blackberry Curve 8310. It was very NEW then and felt like the closes thing a man can have to a new and young girlfriend.

But after three years, she got older, much much older, but was one of those girlfriend that persevered over time and was still in good working condition in short, everything worked!

The kind of phone that I will never need to change it until she decided that it was time for her to go herself.

What else can a man ask for in this day of age for such reliability.

So, for many years now, I always felt that the Blackberry Curve that I bought 3 years ago, was gonna be one of those hardy phones that will never seem to break.

Or Crack.

Had they advertised the toughness of the phone by getting people to throw the phone against a solid board just like how G-Shock has done with their watches,

I WOULD HAVE BELIEVED THAT NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN TO THE PHONE!

Had they thrown the phone from the top of KOMTAR or TWIN TOWERS to prove that this phone was unbreakable,

I WOULD ALSO HAVE BELIEVED THAT NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN TO THE PHONE..

But, while most of you would have probably seen or heard how everyone spent the last few hours of the year 2011, mine ended rather differently.

My believes has taken me aback.

When most times that I have dropped my blackberry and picking it up from the floor like nothing would happen in-line with the believe that this phone is indestructible, and ready to be used in the battlefields of modern warfare,

THE WORST THING DID HAPPEN.

Dropped my phone this time and the Screen Cracked.

A Permanent Lightning Design.

So there you go guys, my last glimpse of the year 2011. The Blackberry Curve 8310 is not as tough as one might think but it still works though believe it or not.

Just awhile ago, I checked my account at my usual ATN (Automated Teller Nuffnang also known as the website that you log in) and realized that i'm still earning money.

My Blog is still earning...

EARNING MONEY FOR ME!!

How is it possible that i'm still earning "Paper" money when i've not even updated or even visited my own blog for nearly half a year!

It's RM21.73 as of this moment which means that if my calculations are right, if one cent is one visit, means that my blog has been visited

TWO THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY THREE TIMES!! (at least make it sound good leh)

SOMEBODY!!

AND I MEAN SOMEBODY!!!

IS STILLLLLLL VISITING MY BLOG!!LIKE ALOT!!!

And because of that, I feel that at least i'm obliged to at least write something for my invisible readers and start updating again.

It doesn't make sense that I'm earning money with no effort involved..

I mean I believe that money grow on trees and all that, but sometimes there's just more fun watering the tree than actually the fruit of the labor.

So, for all you invisible readers out there that may or may not have accidentally clicked on this blog, thank you for visiting and I think i'm gonna try update more regularly again and fill you guys up with what has been happening.

Cheap Carpark near Pavillion Kuala Lumpur

Last weekend, I was lucky enough to meet up with two beautiful girls in Kuala Lumpur.

At different spots and different times of course.

Over the period of conversation, these two girls were sharing their point of view when it comes to money. It is not uncommon that such a conversation would take place at this point of our lives because, like any independent working woman with noticeable finance background would know, money is very important and how her future man handles it.

I couldn't help but notice that both girls had very differing views although this views had an indirect implication of the way I handle my money.

The first girl felt that life is short. Why earn money when you can't even spend it on yourself?We make money, we must also spend to enjoy life. Life is short Gin (To ascertain me how short life was again)

The other girl however had a more direct approach. She asked me whether I was good in saving money. (Conversation took place because she had this perceived idea that men simply aren't good in saving money based on her previous relationships) I told her i'm quite good at it. I'm Penangite afterall.

With two schools of thought, I shall now let you know the cheapest carpark at Pavillion Kuala Lumpur that I have discovered in my time over there which may be of good use if some of you would still like to see some money left after going shopping in Pavillion during the weekend.

As we all know, parking in Pavillion is pretty expensive. The price of parking at Pavillion over the weekend can be as much as buying yourself a few packets of Nasi Lemak which will settle days of morning hunger.

The price of parking is enough to pay a quarter of your water bills.

The price of parking is also enough to get you a nice bubble tea drink from Chatime.

In other parts of the world, the amount of money you pay for car park at Pavillion is able to supply clean water to a family for a week who does not have such access as fortunate ONE Malaysians do.

So unless, you are not into saving this amount of money to enjoy the small little things in life and for the betterment of mankind, then by all means, park at Pavillion itself.

Having said that, one of the cheapest carpark that I have discovered near Pavillion Kuala Lumpur is parking my car at Menara Standard Chartered which is a small walking distance away from the shopping mall itself.

The building looks like this.

And its located right at the corner of Pavillion Kuala Lumpur.

Basically the parking charges at Menara Standard Chartered are as follows: -

Monday - Friday:

First Hour = RM3

Subsequent hour = RM2.5

Per Entry (6pm - 7am) : RM6

Saturday

First hour: RM3

Subsequent hour: RM2.50

Per Entry (after 1pm) : RM6

Sunday/Public Holiday

Per Entry: RM6

As you can see, RM6 is the most you pay for parking here and you get to spend your time at Pavillion without having to worry about paying more for car park. The carpark is pretty much safe (What are you talking about, its the bank's carpark), and its only a small walking distance away.

Though RM6 may still be alot to pay for car park for many people, but it comes as a significant saving which will benefit mankind as a whole and still get you the smaller little things in life as compared to parking in the shopping mall itself. Anyhow you're coming to Pavillion, you will still need to spend!!

So coming back to the two school of thoughts, if you're going to bring out girl number 1, YOU BETTER NOT BE PARKING HERE AT MENARA STANDARD CHARTERED. Life is short. It's not like you can't spend a few notes just to park properly inside the shopping mall to make your shopping experience a little more comfortable. Also is uncool and you're cheap. She's definitely not going to expect something called Chanel, Gucci or Hermes or Hugo Boss

coming from a person like you. In fact not even expecting something small like a keychain that spells LOVE from Parkson. The kind of LOVE that will make her life seem even shorter than it already is. And also, You're going to make her walk???

On the other hand, if you're going to bring out girl number 2, PLEASE PARK YOUR CAR AT MENARA STANDARD CHARTERED BY ALL MEANS. She will realise soon enough that you have proven to be good in saving money at least when it comes to parking your car.

With that said, in my first attempt to park at Menara Standard Chartered, you'd probably be wondering which girl I brought along to have a wonderful time at Pavillion with money saved enough to buy a cup of bubble tea...

None!

The Blogging Experience Begins Again

I get it! It's true my blog is like an on off switch!

Whenever I feel like it, I pen a few words and then after that I take leave...

Time Out Comedy Thursday

Most times or in fact every time when we tell you we are going to Zouk, only one thing comes to mind

Clubbing!

So it would be rather strange if you did something else and not that.

As a result, the strangest thing happened to me.

I went to Zouk two days ago, not to go clubbing but to attend a COMEDY which was organized by Timeout KL.

I was at first reluctant to go as word went around that Amateur's were going to perform instead of the usual Malaysian big name comedians such as Harith Iskandar and thats about how many known comedians I know that gave me a real good laugh before.

Reluctant as well because I actually have to pay for this comedy when normal jokes that I hear once awhile from close friends was good enough for me. But since, this event was something really different and we definitely don't have such events in Penang, I decided that I might as well give it a shot.

*Also, I did not hear any jokes for that particular day and needed some to smoothen my day*

Anyway, instead of the usual I see you, you see me situation in the nightclub,

this is how it looks like inside when the nightclub becomes a stand-up comedy place.

The first guy that came up had alot of pressure on him as he had to get the crowd to laugh from a moody unsettled face from work to a laughing crowd.

Things did not go too well for him as planned and everyone could tell how his MOJO was taken away from him because people weren't laughing at his jokes at all. It was the suckiest feeling ever but it was his first time.

So the crowd at first was not too happy of what to expect from the other comedians to come as the first guy pretty much set the impression that the rest of the comedians of the day would pretty much be the same since all of them were ameteurs anyway.

However things turned out for the better and I really had a good laugh from the rest of the comedians. Always loved a good laugh especially on a weekday. Alot of the jokes felt original and just love the creativity that comes with it. Good Jokes just never turns old somehow.

After two hours, the comedy came to an end. It was really a good experience and this happens to be one of the cool things that you can find and do only in Kuala Lumpur. It's not expensive either at RM15 only and i'm already looking forward to more comedy events in Zouk.

Leaving Zouk, a lot more people started coming in to come for the usual clubbing do.

Sigh..If only these clubbers knew what they were missing, or did I?hmm....

My New Year Eve Present

Ok, one of the things I've left out in my previous post while trying to include everything that we did on New Years eve was this gift that was given to us after ordering two bucket of beers that we ordered in Havana Club.

It was a humongous Heineken bottle opener and it looked really nice.

Now had the free gift been a free Mercedes Benz or a BMW,

everyone would have paid more attention on who would be getting the gift but since it was a crappy Heineken Bottle Opener, the girls were not interested at all and so, it ended up in my hands since I had more love for it than everybody else on the table.

Now if you haven't read Tiam's blog yet on our New Year Eve outing,

At the end of the night, I actually brought back the Heineken Bottle Opener. The reason Tiam did not see it was because I actually kept it in my pocket.. Tiam I wouldn't be going back empty handed after all that effort!!Not even the fireworks would sway my attention from it. hahaha..

Anyway just as proof that I did bring it back, here are a few pictures of it right infront of me.

So there you go guys... 20 years from now if you do see this lying somewhere around my house some day, you know where I got it from and how I got it. It's not just any opener, its the memories that comes with it of spending time with close friends on New Years Eve 2010.

My New Year Eve 2010 in Kuala Lumpur

For the past few years, i've been spending New Years Eve by holding a small private house party at my place in Penang with a few close friends so much so that it has become quite a ritual that I ended up doing every year.

I always felt that celebrating at home to welcome the new year was the most comfortable and doing it the right way. The right way in the sense that all of us would be able to enjoy good music based on our preference, cakes, champagne, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, easy parking, and able to see fireworks from afar.

Opening the champagne bottle at the strike of New Year was always a memorable experience.

An experience that most of us would surely not be doing had we gone outside to celebrate, which would cost us a bomb to even open a bottle of champagne.It just felt like the right way to celebrate the end of the year and to welcome the new one. Nothing felt better than to see everyone having a good time together even though we haven't seen each other in a while.

However, after all those years, it has finally come to an end because this year, I decided that I would be celebrating New Years Eve in Kuala Lumpur. We were going to experience what it was like again outside with the "Revellers of Kuala Lumpur".

So it started off by going to Cafe Vivo in Pavillion where we had dinner there. That's Leon and Tiam.

Then the rest of them went to have ice-cream later (I think i should start taking better shots with my camera, what was I thinking taking from the back)

Then that's when all HELL BREAKS LOSE!!

People were simply EVERYWHERE!!

If you're wondering how CHAOS looks like, this is it! I've never in my life seen such a packed bukit bintang. I can't even imagine what was it like driving your car through a crowd like that. I guess I know why its not easy to just ramm a bunch of zombies on the road if there are a whole lot of them.

Then there are these guys who sells this bottled foam spray for RM10 for four bottles. He would be jumping around hoping to attract a "Reveller of Kuala Lumpur" to buy it from him.

The reveller will buy it so that they can spray it on other people whom they think is having a dull moment on the streets. By spraying foam on the "dull person" hopefully would bring their spirits back up. They would just spray it on anyone.

It came to a point that everytime someone would shake the spray can, we knew it was only about time that we would get sprayed as well. Luckilly none of us were targeted except one of the girls who were with us.

Even cars that were parked along the road was not spared from the spray. (I still have no idea why people still park their car along the road even on such occasions..Really no idea!)

Well other than seeing innocent people getting sprayed down on the road, there were of course other things to see as well.

There were ballons for sale.

A Taximan was there as well to showcase his PRECIOUS toy collection in his taxi parked at the side of the road.

Then also just to spice things up, the police had to display their K-9 dogs to entertain the revellers. The Dogs were really big I must say.

I suppose they were on display to make the revellers be aware and not be out of control or else the dogs will be set loose upon them.

So after a long struggle along the streets of Bukit Bintang, we finally managed to get to Cangkat where we will be spending the rest of the night there.

We ended up at Havana which was a small little bar at the corner of Cangkat. Ordered two buckets of Heineken Beer and waited for the fireworks.

At the strike of midnight, we knew it was 2011 when the fireworks came about. We all came out of the bar and stood by the side of the road to watch the fireworks which went on for about 10 minutes.

All in all, it was one experience unlike the once I always hold anually. It was really something different but turned out pretty well. I really had a good time with Tiam, Leon, Liang, Ringo, and Tiam's Shorty.

In the spirit of Christmas, I think I better continue updating my blog while it's still having a good run (at least to me cuz i've been updating!). There is just so much Christmas Spirit in everyone this year. Never had it better celebrating with friends and family.

Had a good Christmas Eve Party which was hosted by Mabel which was a day earlier before the actual day for some reason. It was a steamboat party thing that involved cute looking tofu just like this (a picture i took from mabel's facebook because I did not bring my camera as usual which I must do more often now!!)

Even Desmond JUST had it TOO GOOD!! (Another picture I took from Desmond's facebook, everythings on facebook so I did not really have to bring a camera)

Now I was probably gonna end my blog here, but you're probably wondering what I got for Christmas this year. You see, as I get older, Christmas doesn't quite come together with presents anymore with most times ending with dinner and wine only. Its my fault because I generally don't expect anything during Christmas other than the quality time I get to spend with family and friends.Yes this is as true as it gets! Generally, SANTA CLAUSE stopped coming to my house to put presents under the tree a long time back.

It's almost the same as how my Ang Pow for Chinese New Year happens to get smaller and smaller as I get older. (If it's only me, you better TELL ME!!TEELLL ME!!!)

But this year, things are rather different. This year I received a present and got this.

A Star.

A Star cookie cutter which is used to bake a cake. A gift that came from none other than the generous host of the Christmas Eve Party.

Now generally I don't know what to do with it yet or EVER because I don't bake cakes at all, but such a gift although it may not have cost much, I would forever remember it as my CHRISTMAS GIVE for a very long time. Means' a lot to me. So next time if you're wondering why I have this star cookie cutter in my room, you know why.

By saying all of this, I don't expect Square Cookie Cutter to come next year okay!

So, knowing what I got for Christmas this year, what did you get this year??can't be a coincidence that you got a cookie cutter would it EVER!! haha...

Anyway that's pretty much how Christmas look like for me this year. You can just tell that the year is just going to end very nicely.

Penang Famous Realtor

A few months ago after chatting with a friend at a nearby coffeeshop sipping affordable Kopi Oh instead of having World's Best Coffee at Starbucks, I realised that I had to do alot of visioning in my life and might end up drinking Kopi Oh for the rest of my life.

Never again would I be able to seat in another Starbucks like I used to do before.

Never again would I be able to buy another blackberry but to buy another cheap Nokia phone if my present phone goes wrong as long as I am contactable.

Never again would I be able to take MAS or Singapore Airlines to fly but take budget flights from Airasia.

Never again would I be able to eat food in fancy restaurants but in coffee shops.

Never again because what I do for the next 10 to 20 years of my life determines what comes above my head.

Let me explain...

You see, a few months ago, I met up with an old classmate of mine from KDU.

She is none other than Serena. A girl who is smart, easy-going, and if there was anyone I knew who would be successful in life, it would be her. But today she is known for something else as well.

Today she's a famous realtor from Penang also known as Penang Famous Realtor who works in Henry Butcher. What she does is that she acts as an intermediary between seller and buyer of a property.

Something like a good friend of yours who would introduce you to another guy or girl and if you both find interest in each other and enter into a relationship, unlike a normal good friend, this good friend will need to be a PAID a certain amount in CASH depending how HOT the relationship is.

Now previously(before I met her of course), I never really had a clue of how much owning a property can be on Penang Island. I also never quite understood why there are so many people in the country who are squatters.

I never quite understood why some people would have a sudden sadness in their eyes or admiration when they hear you stay at places like the Cove at Tanjung bungah, or Gurney Paragon, Alila Bungalows, or Bayu Ferengghi just to name a few.

I mean I thought I would just,

JUST buy a unit in the COVE in Penang Island after working for a few years. Settle down, Marry, Make Babies, Buy LCD TV and live happily ever after with the wonderful view outside my window of the SEA.

A PROPERTY IN PENANG IS IN THE MILLIONS OF RINGGIT!!!

Even if i never again do any of the things I said above earlier, a normal wage earner like me would never be able to afford a nice place like that at the moment. Serena has made me realised that I would have to start saving NOW. The economic condition in Penang of buying a property is such that the longer you wait, the price of a property goes much higher. Which means to say, you can never really afford it even when you can.

Anyway, I know my dream of JUST wanting to buy any of the property highlighted in Serena's blog is almost over. Not unlesss I found a GOLD mine or something. But until then, i'll just stay at places not highlighted in Serena's blog that don't cost millions.

Can you own a property when you're young in Malaysia?

Getting married at the age of 26 in Malaysia is nothing new nowadays. (If there was anything new, it would be marrying at the age of 14 by this girl.)

Showing your deepest love for your loved one on facebook is nothing new at all.

Buying a new car at the age of 26 is nothing new.

Buying the latest new iphone 4 is nothing new.

Even owning a business is nothing new at all. (I don't mean char koay teow business ok)

However, two days ago, a friend showed me something that was new with her.

She bought a property, A HOUSE, A NEW CONDOMINIUM UNIT somewhere around Mont Kiara in Kuala Lumpur.

A condominium unit that has a swiming pool, jacuzzi, gym, and boasting a view that can see Genting Highlands from afar and twin towers as well in another direction.

This is not some low-cost flat or studio unit. This is the REAL THING. Bang for the buck.

After working for a mere five years, she has manged to save up enough money to purchase a property that was worth at that point in time RM300 thousand dollars which today has already somehow upscaled in price which can fetch to something closer to half a million ringgit.

Which means to say, if she sold it today, she would have earned a cool cash of 200 thousand ringgit. That's the kind of money you can only get a chance of earning as quick in Genting Highlands Malaysia or Singapore for that matter.

Her condominium unit was fully furnished with air-cond, had 3 rooms, one lovely modern designed kitchen, a wet kitchen. two toilets, and a nice wooden floor. All this came out from her deep pockets that she saved over the past 5 years.

While sitting there on her lovely couch watching an LCD TV dat also came from her deep pockets, I couldn't help but realize the joy in her face of achieving something that not anybody can just do it over night.

Not even Mr Gin can do it despite himself working for the same amount of time. Despite the numerous amount of investment, working extra time, and also try to make a living through blogging, Mr Gin is unable to even own a property anytime soon. He happens to fall into the category where property prices are relatively 10 times his normal wage. Even the banks would not even in their right mind think of giving out a loan without risking Mr Gin being the next contestant of bankrupty in Malaysia.

I have met so many people who told me of their first experiences in owning their first property, and most of them spent half their life chasing for money before doing so.

What i'm trying to say is, my friend has done a brilliant job in getting her first property at such a young age where most people can only dream of. It's a start towards a brighter future. She definitely shows that you can own a property when you're young. So if you're 26 years old, and haven't gotten a property yet, please relook at your finances. You've not done enough!

Paying Polis Saman at Queensbay Mall Penang

Last weekend, I went to Queensbay Mall Penang which happens to be the largest mall in Penang (well at least to me that is)

I went there not to see Christmas Decorations to get into the spirit of Christmas.

I wasn't there to see Fashion Shows.

I wasn't going there to seat outside of queensbay mall where coconut trees are held with stilts beside the sea and wait for the moon to shine.

And more importantly, I wasn't going there to do any shopping either, sadly when even Christmas is just around the corner.

The only difference between what normal people would do there was completely different from what I was going there for.

I WENT THERE TO PAY POLIS TRAFFIC SAMAN AGAIN! (I had to because for some reason my traffic saman does not show up on myeg website but instead comes up on JPJ. Coincidence?)

If you have read my previous post, I couldn't pay my polis saman as they had a problem with their system.

But I decided that my second attempt in trying to settle my summons at a 50% discount should be done at the MALL as i've heard they have a booth over there.

I mean how bad can it get...Its inside a mall. It should be nice and cold isn't it?

Well things did not quite turn out that way because as it turns out...

I had to queue up with 60 over people ahead of me waiting for the booth to open up at 2pm outside the mall and not inside. I was there 40 minutes early thinking I would be one of the early birds to get my traffic summons setttled the moment the counter opens but then again..that did not happen and i became an angry bird.

It was really a rainy afternoon and despite the heavy rain, people were standing equipped with their umbrellas waiting to settle their summon/s.

After waiting for half an hour after the booth was opened, I realized that the queue was getting no where that I decided to abandon all hopes of settling the saman at the discounted rate. The queue was so long because they only had one counter open despite knowing and seeing the huge response from the public to pay up their saman over the past one week.

The queue was so long that even some of them had to risk their lives whenever a car wanted to drive through to park their car inside the mall.

Anyway, I know this saman discount thing would come as a gift for christmas, but as a suggestion, I think the polis could at least make an attempt to make the transaction of settling saman's much easier to the public.

Here's some suggestions: -

1) Set up many computers and hire part time staff to receive payment of saman and issue receipts during such operation discount schemes held by the polis.

2) Set up many counters inside the shopping mall and not outside whenever you hold such operation discount schemes.

3) Have a numbering queue system.

4) Provide proper seats for customers.

5) Senior Citizens should be allowed to jump queue to settle their summons.

There's just so much the polis can think off before holding such schemes next time...well since you can't do it this time anyway..

I went back home having the last glimpse of the queue knowing full well that I made the right decision to move on instead of standing there under the rain. I guess i'll just have to settle the saman at the original full rate. This is my last attempt!

Where to Pay Polis Saman in Penang?

Two days ago, after hearing that all polis traffic saman will be given a 50% discount if you pay up between 1st December 2010 to 15th December 2010,

I decided that it was time that the saman which happened to one of our family cars needed to take up on such an opportunity.

Initially we did not know we had a saman until we wanted to renew the road tax of the car at JPJ that we were told we could only renew the road tax for only 6 months instead of 1 year until your saman has been paid off. Apparently the JPJ system is hooked up to this whole Saman system.

Now, the funny thing is, nobody knew how we got it as it happened many many months ago. If there was anything, most of us in order to defuse the whole problem, would have paid for the saman and carried on our lives at JPJ. Sadly, they do not have a system or booth to let us pay our polis saman which means that we will need to go to a police station and pay it and come back again.

The saman that we got was for speeding, thus nobody really knew who drove the car because it happened a long time back.

To cut the story short, the 50% discount offer was just too good to be true and too TIMELY, thus two days ago, I made a beeline to the police station on Jalan Dato Keramat as it happens to be the only place i know in the whole of Penang Island which lets you pay your traffic Saman.

Taking time off work, upon arriving at the polis station, I had to park my car outside the polis station because they did not have enough car park for the public to park inside. So, everyone else including myself took the chance to park along the road which was illegal which means that I would STAND A CHANCE to get a parking Saman again outside the polis station. But I guess, the polis were a little lenient and allowed everyone to do so.

Inside the polis station, thats where things were not so smooth. Penangites being Penangites, whenever there is a discount, it becomes a queue!

A queue so long that I was waiting behind at least 50 people before my turn just to pay up my saman.

It was becoming not so worth my while because alot of my time was taken up just to get this saman paid up but since I was there, I might as well wait since maybe the system was very efficient to let everyone pay their saman. I mean how hard can the paying system be. It should be as easy as the highway toll system.

But just as my turn was coming up, after spending time looking at how blue the sky was

and how many police cars they had as well as large cannons.

and how many "naughty" people they actually manage to catch during that period of time,

The system went offline!!

I mean how is this possible??I waited for nearly an hour hoping that even the glimpse of a super hot police woman would pass which will make my while, which did not even happen!

There was nothing the police could do but ask everyone to come back again the next day. I can't help but imagine how much the police actually had a lost in revenue dat evening. People actually were queuing up to pay money to them which is their hard earned cash.

Now, I would have paid off the saman online but then again, even they got the websites wrong.

Everything was just wrong at the polis station that day. Where else to pay Polis Saman??

Gurney Drive Mud spoils everything

If there was any difference between Penang and Kuala Lumpur, it would be the road used to go to work and the things I encounter along the way.

You see, in Kuala Lumpur, whenever I go to work, all I see is a few hundred cars lining up in a traffic jam to get in time for work and DATS IT.

Everyday is pretty much the same thing, and if it helps, you would be able to see someone drive a very expensive sports car on a random occasion hopefully to make you feel more depressed about your well-being.

If it hasn't made you depressed, it would at least keep you wondering how did that guy do it and soon your thoughts would forever be channeled on monetary gains. Everything and anything you do, would somehow be related to making money.

But in Penang is different.

In Penang, whenever I go to work, I would use a road called Gurney Drive.

You'd probably wondering how different it is compared to Kuala Lumpur. The difference is, whenever i'm CRUISING down Gurney Drive for that brief moment of time before I get to work, I get to enjoy the sight of the SEA.

I get to enjoy the sight of SUNRISE.

I get to enjoy the sight of other people jogging along the seafront keeping themselves healthy on a working day when everyone else is going to work. I also get to enjoy the sight of the Casuarina trees that gives you a calming effect.

It's this little things that makes Gurney Drive a wonderful road to use which not only clears your thoughts but reminds you that whatever you will face during the day, whether good or bad, you will always get to rely on the view from Gurney Drive to provide a calm and cooling effect to end the day.

Now the problem is, everyday I would only pass through Gurney Drive by car. I never really had a chance to walk along gurney drive, let alone seat (requires no reason).

So, just awhile ago in the early morning hours as it is a public holiday today, I decided to walk along gurney drive with a purpose of walking to a restaurant nearby for breakfast. On purpose, I parked my car far away from the restaurant along the road where no TRUE PENANGITE in their right mind would walk to the restaurant from that distance. My mission was to enjoy the BEST of what Gurney Drive can give me only to find that....

Beyond the wall of gurney drive,

it was nothing but mud and murky sea water.

My heart was thrown away. The cooling and calming impression that I had all this while is now gone. Had I brought a girl for a date along gurney drive, I wouldn't like the idea that she would have to force herself to liking the view because she would probably be thinking "Why'd the hell did you bring me to a muddy place??There's nothing nice about it. I sooooo wanna go to KL!!Pavillion top of the list!!"

p/s: I realised after searching for pictures of gurney drive mud, alot of professional pictures came out which I might as well share it with you. All almost potray one thing though.

Proton Inspira - Dare to call inspiration?

Not too long ago, I used to know a friend who was never really good in remembering stuff for exams, thus he was always doomed to fail because as we all know, exams are mostly about regurgitating facts that you have easily memorised in your head days and months before the day of the exam.

If there was anything, my friend never really could study hard like the other people who would score in exams. He NEEDED to do something about it or continue to be a failure and forever be unattractive to girls due to his undermined intellectual ability. So he found another approach to avoid failure.

HE STUDIES SMART!!

What he would do, is write small pieces of notes and bring them inside the exam hall.

He mastered the art of copying that none of the invigilators could even catch him till today.

He would even go to the extent of writing answers onto his own body parts. Nobody even knew about it.

He even pondered with the idea of other ways of copying if he had boobs. Sadly, he did not have one.

As a result, results came out and he not only passed but came out tops in his class. Nobody really knew how he did it, but still congratulated him for his hard work.

What i'm trying to say here gentlemen,

Nobody really bothers how you did it, its the results at the end of the day that matters. Yes, there will be people who would be biased against what he did, but should he continue to be a failure had he not copied?

And this my fellow readers, is what I see in the newly launched proton inspira 2010.

Proton Inspira is a copy of the Mitsubishi Lancer and that is a FACT!!!!

What they've managed to do was just like my old friend that i used to know. What proton has done is copy everything from the mitsubishi lancer and changed a few things from the rims to the steering wheel, front bumber, and probably the suspensions a little.

By changing these few things, they have managed to alter the looks of the mitsubishi lancer to make it look like their own.

And this my friends, its just damn SMART!!

When I say smart here, i'm saying it just like how my old friend did it. Instead of dooming for failure, they have managed to do what it takes to become a success and that is...

COPY!!!

Nevermind that they would be called copy cat for the rest of their lives.

Nevermind that they would be called a bitch by girls as they are normally termed for copying.

Nevermind that they would be an unimaginative company in the next few years.

NEVERMIND!!Because at the end of the day, proton will need to do whatever it takes to become a success again just like other automotive makers in the country has done.

Lets not forget that, Myvi from perodua was also a copy based on the second generation Daihatsu Sirion/Boon and Toyota Passo

Naza forte is also a copy from ummm KIA...

All in all, this new Proton Inspira is going to cost RM79,888 and it will come with 2 years of free servicing.

So is the proton inspira fit for its name??Nope. Definitely not an inspiration since its a copy. The public would have been much happier if its called proton kuching. Pronounced correctly and it would mean "Ka-Ching", for money money money!!! Its sad to know that they even dare to call it an inspiration as it reflects how backward Malaysia is that we cannot even find a person out of 28 million people, talented enough to design a car.

All i know is, i'm going to see alot more modified Proton Inspira in the future that would look like mitsubishi evo lancers with huge exhausts that is loud enough to tear buildings down and attract young pretty college girls.

How to watch youtube on Blackberry Curve 8520 using Digi Line?

Ok just to get things started again.

The reason i'm posting this up is because lately i'm unable to watch youtube on my blackberry curve 8520.

And this has become quite annoying because while I'm paying for unlimited internet access per month, i'm using probably like...ummm well...whats 1% of infinity?

Well let me tell you what is 1% for this instance. The feeling of using a blackberry curve 8520 without watching youtube is like filling up fuel in a Ferrari FULL TANK and only using like 10 percent of dat. 90 percent of it is probably burnt away unknowingly. You only get that 10% of thrill. Get it!Get it!!

So, coming from that point of view, it DOES matter if my blackberry can't watch youtube.

But all that has come to an end. For the many user of blackberry curve 8520 who is connected to the internet using digi services and can't watch youtube, the following procedures which I got it from a website would be able to help you as it has helped me.

Digi Need To Enable APN (digistrm) For YouTube Streaming
(http://www.digi.com.my/blackberry/faq.do)
This section is particular to DiGi’s BIS subscriber, for some reason (most probably for bandwidth control), DiGi need us to configure the APN to digistrm before us being to view YouTube video streaming. To do this, follow the steps below :
Menu -> Options -> Advanced Options -> TCP/IP
(TICKED) APN Settings Enabled
APN: digistrm
(TICKED) APN Authentication Enabled
Username for APN:
Password for APN
*Both Username and Password for APN Authentication are left blank*
Error Playing. An error has occurred attempting to play media.
For the first 2 weeks since getting the phone, I have not been able to watch any YouTube videos. It keeps prompting “Error Playing. An error has occurred attempting to play media”. The search for any information in google and my personal attempt to troubleshoot the problem led me to no solution. At the end of the 2 weeks I had nobody to turn to, so I gave DiGi’s support an attempt. I’m determined to solve this issue no matter what, even if it means terminating Digi. But to my surprise Digi support did manage to solve it. Kudos to DiGi!
To save the heartache of many future BlackBerry users I would like to share the solution with you. Please configure your BlackBerry browser with the below settings :

My Super Hokkien Mee behind Penang Plaza

With the courtesy and permission rights for the pictures from Mabel that I stole from her facebook album, I hope I'll be able to tell you what happened a weeks ago.

WE FINALLY HAD SUPER HOKKIEN MEE!!

I wrote a post on the hokkien mee that I wasn't destined to have it that time because I couldn't wait for an hour.

But guess what....

Nevermind that the stock market is crashing down all over the world

or

the possibility that South Korea could be at war with North Korea over their sunken ship

or

even with most of us Malaysians suffering deep in silence from the eventual increase of prices of EVERYTHING that will eventually make dating much more expensive in the next few years (start dating now)

The Hokkien Mee Seller told me that I had to wait for ONE HOUR still before I could get my bowl of Hokkien Mee. This is simply because they are producing packets after packets of hokkien mee for customers that are not even there. I wouldn't be surprised if he had some kind of e-order system through their own personal website!

There's somebody just CRAZY for this Hokkien Mee in Penang!

In most times, I would just forget about it and have something else that would provide me a meal in ONE MINUTE. Eat and get the hell out of there.

However, Mabel couldn't resist the temptation of tasting this Hokkien Mee. I could only imagine all the torture that she went through just for this amazing breakfast that she will remember for the rest of her life.

She travelled from one end of the island to the other just for this Hokkien Mee. If that wasn't tough enough for her, she had to break her beauty sleep which is never a good thing. Not only that, she braced the hot weather which she dislikes the most.

All this torture and you'd wanna let the WOMAN not have her hokkien mee?? Only a dead man, A DEAD MAN, would even think of suggesting something else.

So, without having to think, the decision was wait for an hour, have two cups of Barli Peng, add more coins to car park or risk having a SAMAN, and enjoy a plate of Chee Cheong Fann.

Before you know it, the dish arrive just like this.

Now some of you may probably wanna know...Was it GOOD??

Well people, for me it was definitely one of the better Hokkien Mee that i've tasted, won't say its SUPER but if there was anything that showed it was good, it was Mabel's Smile.

My take on Cheng Ji Chan (1200 steps)

Unlike most of my weekends, just like any men spoiled by the urban city life where I would seat at Starbucks and waste my time away by waiting for beautiful girls to pass by,

this weekend however was very different. DIFFERENT!!

I attempted to visit a temple which is called Cheng Kon Sze which requires

A Thousand and Two Hundred Steps to get there!!

As crazy as it sounds, as insane as I was, I decided to follow my brother who has a passion for all this outdoor activities such as hiking. Don't get me wrong, I do love hiking. Just don't do it very often as much as he does. Since I wans't doing anything anyway, I might as well attempt it.

It was a quick decision to go there after cheng beng, thus I wasn't armed with anything but just a bag which only had a bottle of water in it. I did not even bring a camera to show you nice looking pictures. So I could only take pictures from my phone.

Now, I did not know what the place looked like until I saw the website just now.

Had I seen the website earlier, I'd prolly change my mind to climbing all that 1200 steps since, I mean, relatively, what you see in those pictures is what you get. (Looks like any temple to me come to think of it, guess i require much more appreciation for art)

Anyway, so as you can see on the map,

I took the dumbest route where you have to climb the 1200 steps from which starts at the United Hokkien Cemetery. You can take a car over there from Kek Lok Si, but where is the fun in there isn't it.

Now I don't know about you, but if you've seen how physically built I am, I conquered the whole of 1200 steps within an hour and a half.

So, if you're healthier, eat better, sleep better, girlfriend or boyfriend gives you morale boost, or at least goes to the gym for regular workouts, i'm sure you can do a better job than I did.

Upon arriving (unknowing to me whether I actually went through a thousand two hundred steps which did not felt like it at all), this is what I saw just like the pictures in the website.

Whipped out my phone and started clicking away.

Just like any temple, there is nothing really to do but pray, purchase some joss-sticks over there(money that they will use to maintain the place, pretty much a form of donation), you start praying to all the deities over there which apparently can bring lots of good luck and of course prosperity, happiness, etc.

After you're done praying, the next thing to do is ask the deities about your future.

Examples of questions most people would ask the deities would be 'would you be rich one day?'

'Is your life good in general?'

'Is your health good in the long run?'

Something like that, or you could be a bit cocky and daring by asking whether you could own a Mercedes SLS in 5 years time

Don't get me wrong, its not like the deities would suddenly wake up and answer those questions by telling you in person or give you a phone call, email you or sms. The message would come in a form of sticks and paper reading.

It was my first time. FIRST TIME I TELL YOU!!!If there was anything that I should have done, I should have been better dressed before the deities cause the answer to my questions was rather HEAVY!

Anyway, after asking (in your head of course) the one particular question from the deities, what happens is that you just keep shaking the sticks out from a can until one of the sticks drops onto the floor. After that you'd have to determine whether the stick that fell out is the message from the deities by throwing two crescent shape wood onto the floor.

Then you end up with a piece of paper that explains to you whether the questions you are seeking is good, medium or simply bad. It's a bit JUMPY mind you, but it was really fun.

Anyway, this was definitely the coolest thing I have ever done in a temple ever!! I mean, this is the kind of things I only happen to see in Cantonese Movies before!!!

anyhow, I had no idea what the paper says but all I was told is that its good. (Well if you read otherwise, please do let me know!)

So guys, i'm going to end here about my trip to this temple. The air up there was simply fresh and the view was simply wonderful.

If there was anything I did achieve instead of waiting for the deities to make my dreams come true, with hard work and persistence to make it through to the end,

I MADE IT THROUGH ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED STEPS!!!

Super Hokkien Mee

A few hours ago, I decided to have breakfast at a coffeeshop behind the old and famous shopping mall called Penang Plaza or more popularly known as FEEMA among the locals.

Don't get me wrong, this is NOT the kind of shopping mall that you'd like to bring your girlfriend for a date or walk aimlessly around to see things. Chances of getting yourself into PROBLEMS(I shall not state what they are but you'll figure out when you're over there) is very high.

Its the kind of shopping mall that you would just drop-by to buy groceries and get the hell out of there as soon as you're done.

Anyway, coming back to my breakfast.

I decided to go to this coffee shop simply to try the Hokkien Mee over there which has been rumored to be very good.

Famous to say the least.

So I took time off work, hoping to have a quick breakfast and at the same time achieve my dream of having this wonderful hokkien mee.

Upon arriving, you know its famous when you could hardly find a table to seat,

or find a car park slot little did I know I had to park my car a mile away, but out of curiosity and having to go out of my way to try out this hokkien mee, I did anyway.

After doing all that and successfully rushing and sealing my table away from intruders who is about to attack my table that would result in halting my progress of trying this FAMOUS Hokkien mee,

I DID NOT GET HOKKIEN MEE!!

Now I can wait for alot of things in my life.

I can wait to own a new mercedes benz even if it has to take me 40 years from now to save every penny and eat ikan billis every day.

I can wait to own a sports car even when i'm old and fugly.

I can wait to enter a cinema even when someone is late and i'm already missing a part of the beggining of a movie.

I can even wait to have a girlfriend which already i mean, does not need proving.

But wait, LET ME TELL YOU what I can't wait!!

I SERIOUSLY CANNOT WAIT FOR 1 HOUR FOR HOKKIEN MEE!!1 HOUR!!!SIMPLY CAN'T DO IT!!

I've eaten alot of famous hawker food around the whole country, and trust me, i've never heard of someone telling me that i'd have to wait one hour or more for HAWKER FOOD.

I guess this is as far as I have gone to trying the famous SUPER HOKKIEN MEE.

MrGin Movie Review - The Book of Eli

Just awhile ago, I watched the Book of Eli.

I don't really make movie reviews but I cannot help but tell you by summing it all up in just one word.

BORING!!

Let me tell you how bad it really is since there are not many times I would just end my blog post with just one word which really...

I WOULD!!

Its so boring that if you were to take a girl out for the first time and sooo decide to watch that movie(not like anyone in their right mind would), she would be counting down the minutes so fast that whatever is left of a wonderous outing that you could possibly have planned after the movie would be cracked down like a sunken ship in South China Sea and you would gladly sink together with that ship,

knowing Full well that you have just passed the stage of no return and this

would never exist and the duration of having to keep it any longer in the head for not being able to do that ever is just too unbearable. Sinking together with the ship is unquestionable!!

So I hope I made my point very clearly.

If you do decide to watch it anyhow, don't watch it in the cinema even if the wallpapers and trailers do attract you like I did.

I suggest not even to get the DVD.

Maybe just download it or something and of course be prepared to delete it from your computer after watching it because leaving it around would simply take up too much useful hard disk space in your computer.

Why I want to own a BlackBerry® Storm™ 9520 from Celcom!

For the longest time of not befalling to any form of peer pressure,

or reasons like why President of the United States Barack Obama is holding a blackberry

or why celebrities are carrying a blackberry which must be cool or else why hold one??

or why even some people love their blackberry over their girlfriends,

I just never managed to get into my head how is this blackberry any better than my trusted old phone that STILL can make phone calls, STILL can SMS, and STILL can take pictures.

I mean I have seen so many new phones come out every year pass by me, like how a pretty girl would just catch your attention and before you know it, you would just forget about her when another prettier girl passes by.

What i'm trying to say is, How is the Blackberry gonna be any different??

Well guys, all I can just say is this....

After what i've been through and knowing how much this Blackberry can do, owning my trusted and currently used phone right now would look like i'm driving a diesel car that emits poisonous gas that is dull and boring

while others are already driving Electric Cars that would continue to save the planet so that the generations and the generations after us would be able to enjoy the world we live in.

There's just so much painn right now...

PAINNNN!!! that every second of owning and looking at my phone right now feels like owning a gameboy that can only pay tetris

when everyone else is onto something like PSP that you can control Ronaldo kicking a football?

SO, LET ME TELL YOU WHY I WANT A BLACKBERRY SOO MUCH NOWWWW!!!

Not just any Blackberry

But a Blackberry Storm 9520 which is up for grabs from Celcom.

Now i've not owned a Blackberry Storm 9520 to fully tell you what this phone can do, I mean if i did than I wouldn't have blogged about wanting to own one would i??lol..

Let me start with some photos that I found on the internet (the best I can do right now) that would blow my currently used phone away to a nearby monsoon drain where it will sink slowly like King Arthurs sword.

I thought these are the kind of things you only see on movies that don't exist!!No keyboard, just touch-screen!!THAT'S MADNESS!!

Then of course there are the other things that I learnt about the blackberry along the way like...

When we go to Starbucks, my friend would seem like HE IS forever chatting with someone on the phone leaving me to look like I have not made friends in my entire life.

It won't be long when social pressure would soon sink-in that I would whip out my phone (since we're not talking anyway),

and I would psychologically wonder, hmmm what can my phone can do? Oh Right..SMS!!!

The blackberry gets him connected to MSN messenger, Blackberry Messenger, and all other types of messenger that keeps him occupied with his phone. And with a Celcom XPAX Prepaid line,

He is connected all the time at the cheapest rate offered in town!!

Then there are times when we're stuck in a traffic-jam where the blackberry would come in handy to occupy the time. Facebook surfing during traffic jams with blackberry is a favourite traffic-jam getaway in the car. Aww just love this thing. I suppose if i was in a traffic-jam I would be occupied with the JAM???

Even going to toilet has become more entertaining. You can play music, enjoy a good chat, and surf the net. All while u're doing your private business at the comfort of your toilet seat or having a nice long foam bath. You're just always connected no matter what!!!

Now here's an important point that I really want a blackberry soo much which is this..

The way how people with the blackberry make you feel like they belong from a different planet, something which I find it REALLY cool. They use codes that look like this to add one another.

Codes that look like alien language that apprently identifies your device or in actual fact, the person!!!One just has to display their code on the phone just like this while the other scans the picture. It just feels sooo strongly communicated. Like a MARK of FRIENDSHIP!!

And then there's also the unlimited amount of messaging that can be done through the load of messenger applications. With my current phone, I am left without a choice but to SMS. Everyone who wants to contact me will cost money. Everyone whom I want to contact, will cost money. Let me put it this way, at the moment while everyone is communicating free with one another through their Blackberrys, communicating with Mr. Gin will cost you money. How's that for a very friendly approach!!

Padang at One Utama

Two nights ago I was at One-Utama not to have dinner

or go out on a pre-valentine day shopping spree

or watching a movie in the cinema

or even bowling.

I was there to play football.

Not just any football but Futsal.

You see...In Kuala Lumpur, everything is just so congested nowadays that, there are no more green fields that is left for people to kick a ball around not to say jog around simply because, most of these green fields even if they're available would have been too valuable to be just left undeveloped.

Thus, flat land the size of 3 football fields would be replaced with something like this

thus, playing futsal at the top of a shopping mall is nothing new in KL or at least nothing new to people who live in KL.

So its not surprising why Malaysia has not been able to go to World Cup yet because most of the time, we are playing on top of shopping malls and only those who can afford can play football.

annnndddd lets face it k, those who can afford to play football aren't most of the time committed to play football as their life-long career. I mean look at how David Beckham started anyway or any other player who made it big in football.

Well, i guess times have changed, and to move with the times, we played futsal which is an indoor thing and sheltered from the sun and rain so that guys don't have to worry about getting a tan.

So we all played futsal at PADANG which is at the top of the shopping mall. Just take a lift to UR (which means upper roof i think) and you will see it straight away upon coming out.

Its located on the new block of one-utama. It looks like this...Really nice..

and before any of us could really say we played football, one hour was up.

And that's RM120.

RM 120!!

ohh that's ok, you divide among 10 people that's still cheap...What is 12 bucks anyway?What you can't afford 12 bucks? Damn CHEAP WEI!!

No. None of us were really satisfied. We needed an extra in order to really pull out everyone's real potential and skill in football and to test everyone's stamina.

We opted for a larger field which was available at that point of time (we played a smaller field in the previous hour) and played for an extra hour.

And that one hour was RM200.

RM 200!!!

Nobody really knew how much everything cost till the end of the game. Totalling everything up, everybody's face was quite shock to find that..

WE JUST PAYED RM320 TO KICK A BALL AROUND!!

In other parts of the world, you can feed an entire village for a month and they will keep smiling all month loong

and still have enough to even pay dancers to entertain you all weekend!!

With that kind of money generated within two hours just to kick a ball around, some say that it could wipe out AIDS entirely throughout the whole world!

Anyhow, that's just the high cost of living in Kuala Lumpur. Like I said, its nothing wrong or new to people living in KL as going to the mall is almost like a favourite past time that comes with good exercise to keep people healthy. But coming from Penang, I play real football in a different Padang called PADANG POLO, and its free.

FREE!!!FREE!!FREE!!!

I agree if football is entirely different from playing in a mall,

as compared to playing outside........

Problem is, there isn't......

Watching Avatar in 3D

Ok guys, this is not a review, I just decided to write about it since i've got so much time in my hands and gotta get into the act of blogging again. Might as well tell you about something I just did recently.

Last Weekend, I paid RM18.50 for a ticket at GSC One-Utama to watch Avatar with Soon Yang and Daphne.

As I've never paid so much for a movie ticket in my entire life, it better be good.

Not just good. LIKE DAMN GOOD!!

Its not surprising to me that I went ahead to watch the movie at such a price because I mean, a movie does not just gross US1 Billion without actually being good. I mean DAMN GOOD!!

Some say that you should watch Avatar in 2D first then go to 3D, but then, I mean seriously if i really wanted to watch it in 2D, there's always the DVD to depend on. I know in my heart that i'll never get another opportunity to watch it in 3D. My TV can't do 3D so...I watched it...Its a 2 and half hour movie..Enjoyed every bit of it..

Also another point to add is that I've always had the misconception of watching 3d behind a glass with blue and red film just like this..

But what you actually get is like something that looks like real glasses.

The only problem of watching it in 3d is that if you are already wearing glasses like I do (not for 3d purposes of course), it may be a bit difficult to wear another glass (3d glass) on top of it (nuff said!) which is annoying I suppose.

All I can say is..

Its really good!!A good mixture of romance, action, and science.You know its a good movie when you do not want to get out of the movie to take a piss or waiting for the movie to end and hoping for more...I think you get what I mean...So for all you dvd goers out there, Trust me, if you're reading this, watch in in the cinema..Its worthwhile..

If there was any day where I can update my blog,

today is THAT DAY!!

Because today, we celebrate Federal Territory Day!! Here's how this day works. If you're working in KL that is your office is literally in KL as long as your address does state 'Kuala Lumpur', you get that DAY OFF!!

But if you're office address says something else like 'Selangor', than sorry pal, just forget about this day altogether.

Anyway, here's my latest update since the start of the year and i'm gonna talk about what I did on New Years Eve.

I told myself that i'm gonna do this post today and I'm GONNA DO IT!!I know its been a month back but helll..i'm still gonna do it!!

This year I started the New Year again with some of my closest friends back in Penang. Every year, we would celebrate New Years at home because of the idea that celebrating up at happening spots like Upper Penang Road or Esplanade or some formal events would always turnout to be horrendous and at the end never turning out to be fun.

Some say that one of the problems would be finding a car park and even if you do find one, it would be so crazily overpriced that it would create an upset in your tummy not to say, a hole in your pocket to begin with.

Some also say that even if you do find yourself in a nightclub, it would be so packed with people that is nothing different to squeezing yourself in say a box to be shipped into another country. It would give you a taste of how exotic animals are illegally transported to another country.

Some also say that even drinks would be over priced on that day and when I mean over priced I don't mean like by a few cents or something but probably by the double figures. Its like buying a proton at the price of a Bentley or so to speak..

Some also say that with all the crazy revellers around, you would never know whether your car is safe enough to defend itself when its been targeted for extra decorations by these revellers.

Anyway, a few of us decided that celebrating at home has always been a better way to welcome the New Year.

This is Dr. Yong Lin! She Saves Lives in General Hospital! She works sometimes for 48 hours straight. Makes me rethink how hard i'm working when I use to complain that I only get like 6 hours of sleep a day.

Mister Potato Event at the Mist

Last Saturday, I found myself at 630pm at a nightclub called "The Mist".

Strangely as it seems, I do enjoy clubbing, but definitely not crazy enough to come THAT early to have a good time.

Neither was I early to ensure that I wouldn't have any trouble of getting a table inside to put my liquor.

Because neither of that was the case.

I was at the Mist not to go clubbing but to be part of a Mister Potato Campaign Event

that was happening there which specially invited bloggers and other media frenzy's that were all waiting outside to get in.

Though, this time I did not go as a blogger since my blog has practically stopped for the past few months, I was just invited by a close friend of mine to oh well..makan makan and minum minum since I had nothing to do over the weekend in KL.

But above all, I came here because I have never came to this nightclub before which I have heard quite alot of good things about it in the past all the way from Penang.

Upon entering, I am given a bag of Mister Potato Bag which has a lot of junk food which I don't really eat,

and a straw hat that I could probably use it when I'm up in the hills of Cameron Highland Hills plucking tea leaves in the future.

If you're wondering what is the straw hat for, well..the theme for the night was a Mexican theme and i'm quite happy this time around that at least they try to equip us so that all of us would rather be involved with part of theme.

As you have seen in the past, I suck in dressing up for parties with theme's and end up as a social outcast throughout the party. This wasn't the case this time around as everyone came pretty casual.

While of course, there were the die hards that really dressed up to the Mexican theme.

Let me show you what I mean by Die-HARDS!!

This is one of the things I enjoy about this campaigns, people really take the effort to dress up to the theme, something that we wouldn't really expect from many unsporting Malaysians like myself.

But down here, everything goes. Apparently, they do get something for dressing up like that which I will share with you later.

Inside the Mist, you would of course expect that you would be welcomed at the entrance with well..Mist?

Nope..That did not happen.

However, inside the Mist practically looks like this. A nice great dance floor in front of a small stage where the DJ's roll out their stuff.

Upstairs has a VIP area for the specially gifted people.

Leather Seats that is only catered to VIP's who are more gifted than normal gifted people.

And here's the food that awaits us which is of course something you don't get on a normal clubbing weekend.

Coming back to whats happening on the floor.

With all the Mexican Straw Hats being worn, the party got started. Sometimes if you looked closely, you might think that it was a convention for Cameron Highlands vegetable Farmers. Elite Farmers to say the least, all having a good time with free drinks and food.

Here's a picture of how a group of farmers rushing for free things.

Then there was the part of why some of them came dressed up as Mexicans because there was a well-dressed competition with the winner earning himself a cool RM5,000.

That's alot for well...just dressing up as a Mexican rather than plucking leaves in Cameron Highlands which you can never ever see that kind of figure for the next few years compared to one night. Unless of course those leaves are not tea leaves and I don't really want to know what they are....

Then there was also the competition of best Mexican Dancer with Mister Potato leading how the dance should be imitated after him.

Winner also earns himself a cool RM5K while of course 2nd and 3rd will earn something respectively. Enough to buy themselves a blackberry and still have enough cash to pay for their phone bills for the next year or two.

All in all, I really had a great time. Experienced what the club was like and I must say, it looks great. I guess if I had not attended this event, I wouldn't have taken the time to write a post but I must since I took some pictures which I might as well share it with you guys!! Hope you enjoyed the post!

Recycle Broken Badminton Racquet

A few days ago, after much ego of becoming the next Chong Wei of the country, things went wrong in the badminton court.

My badminton racquet broke.

Not only did it just break, it broke into two just like this.

Maybe it was the powerful smash.

Maybe it was the tightness of the string.

Maybe it was the pink color of the racquet thats filled with it that made the racquet too hot for the "pinky" who used my racquet.

Whatever it is, the racquet is now broken after being bought for only one week.

Not to say, with the racquet broken, the ego of being the next badminton champion of the country went along with it.

The shop that provided a year long warranty for the racquet only covered accidents that, let me put it this way, were not Man-Made.

With all their experience, they concluded that mine was man-made. (Not to argue of course)

So, what had become of this expensive racquet no longer has value.

Now...here's the interesting part.

Before you start to throw away your racquet into the bin to keep the environment cleaner,

I mean you ain't going to keep a broken racquet for your future generations to use right?

THE RACQUET STILL HAS VALUE!!

Don't worry i'm just as surprised as you are!!What I'm Talking about??

Apparently I was told that some shop around Komtar will accept your broken racquet for as much as RM60.

RM60 for a BROKEN RACQUET.

Trade in of-course for a new racquet. Does not matter what brand it is, as long as it looks like a badminton racquet or umm close to it. (Don't bring tennis racquet la)

So there you go guys, don't throw away your broken racquet yet, its still worth at least RM60!! Keep your ego intact, keep playing badminton, and continue your journey to be the next Chong Wei for the country. Will update to you whether this is true, but hold on to your broken racquets.

Last Night, I drove back home taking the route where a Police Road Block would normally be set-up to catch people who break the common law of driving.

DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE.

A well known route that must never be taken . The kind of route that there is no turning back and would only lead to trouble. Anything more than a few glasses of "The Juice" would leave you either a few Ringgit Shorter or simply provided a new home to stay for the night. Nothing to fancy of course.

And I shall say this, for the route that shall not be named but i'm not afraid to say it at all.

LARUT ROAD.

It is of the clever tactics of the police in Penang that the Road block would be set-up not too far away from Upper Penang Road every weekend where people would at least be drinking "The Juice".

Anyway, last night I decided to take Larut Road back when I know at the back of my friends head that I was simply out of my mind.

There are not many times I would go through a Police Road Block confidently after spending time at Upper Penang Road, to tell the Policeman that I was not drinking after a night session at a Night Club.

It is of no surprise that a police would stop my car after seeing a striped long sleeve shirt guy driving the car which definitely gave away my innocent looks of abiding the common law which doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what I would probably be doing dressed like that coming from that direction.

So he asked me whether I was drinking beer after having a deep stare at my eyes and of course awaiting a reply to check on the clarity of my voice which would give away the sanity and stableness of my mind.

I answered...Tak Ada.

The policeman smiled and said.

Thank you.

He paved the way for me to carry on my journey back home.

So there you go guys, it does not matter what route you take. Just don't try to break the law. Road Blocks are there for your safety for everyone. If you are going to drink, always have a designated driver to take you back home safely. The world will be a better place. You'd live another day to enjoy another good night.

But I shall say this though, WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING??

Ok guys, here's the wrap-up for the entire 4 weeks.

1) Bought a new GPS.

That's right guys. My 20 year old car now has SAT-NAV and it really looks good.

I bought the Garmin 255W for RM929 after years of comparing prices which never ends. Was being shown other brands like Papago. Simply unmatchable. Anyway can't live with the fact that I bought it here in KL when i've always been told that Singapore offers it much cheaper. So, guys...If you do find a cheaper one, let me know, and i'll go and bang my head on the wall.

2) Went to a place called Neroteca with Tiam and his Girlfriend.

A very exlusive dining place in KL that serves Italian Food. After seeing thousands of wine bottles that stacked up from the bottom floor to the sky, thought it was going to burn my pocket since I had to give my friend a treat but ended up not too bad. Lesson to learn....DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING SPECIAL THAT IS OFFERED TO YOU BY WORD OF MOUTH FROM A WAITRESS.

3) Receives Anonymous Comments

Judging from my last post, I feel that there is someone out there...wait..some chinese fellar commenting on my blog so much that I have decided to leave it alone instead of deleting it. Such an energetic fellar. Hey man I have no idea what all that is about??Still..thanks for the comments.

4) Met up with Michelle and Benjamin at a place called BoatHouse at TTDI in Kuala Lumpur.

A very nice romantic place. The owner's son took the opportunity to introduce to me the menu which had so many varieties of food that gosh, a simple man like me would find it difficult to choose and would just settle for something called Fried Rice. The place was pretty exclusive and he said I should bring a date here. She would be pretty impressed. So, you know..if I do bring a girl out here..I mean BUSINESS!!

5) Went to see lots of Honda Car's at One-Utama.

Felt that today's cars is really made out of plastic. Everything is so PLASTIC!!!

6) Got a new dog

Every now and then in the hills of Balik Pulau, we would happen to bump into some helpless dog. We know if we left it, the dog would just die a slow death. So, we brought it back. Gave it a brand new life. The dog is now served..SERVED with good food everyday now. No more hunting and scavenging for the dog. The dog is A mixed breed of Rhodesian Ridgeback and oh well a normal common Mongreal. Will take more pictures the next time.

7) iPhone.

Tiam really did a great job showing me how great the iphone really is. I really want one. Makes my phone a few hundred years old behind time. Checked it online, why is it that Steve Jobs says the phone is selling for US199 when back here is like a few thousand dollars..WHAT HAPPENED??

8) Man's Chest or Female Breast

You Figure that out!!I really don't want to know. Apparently my friend showed me this blog and he was comparing...hmm...There was some truth...

Just awhile ago, I was at a government institution that was once well-known around the world for its research which no longer is, due to the pace of technology.

I always wanted to know how people worked in the government. So I decided to pay them a visit with also the intention of gaining as much knowledge as I can in my related field.

While I was there, I happen to talk to one of the old girls, who has been working over there for 30 years.
30 YEARS!!, whom gladfully told me that her pension is coming up in 3 years time.

That's right guys... All the years that she has been working, she can finally see free money coming in, the fruit of her labor. I guess she deserves it alright. I mean, 30 years is a long time to wait and finding workers like that nowadays with such faithfulness to the organization can no longer be found in today's era.

For awhile I was telling myself, how the hell did this old lady worked here for so longgg, nottt until I happen to see what she was doing..

It was 3:30pm and this is what I saw!!

Consequences of not wearing a Mask at the Airport

Just awhile ago, I was at KLIA(Kuala Lumpur International Airport).

A US3.5 Billion dollar dollar airport which ranks as the 13th busiest airport in the world by international passenger traffic.

Its a BIGGGGG AIRPORT!! with lots and lots of people that comes from all over the world. There is so many people that if one were to fart, it wouldn't miss a number of passengers from having a go at the smell.

And for those who really luv to fart, it wouldn't be unsual if you were to see a sign like this one day in the airport.

So, in any case, if there was anything transmissable in the air that would affect you or kill you, the best thing to do would be to avoid the airport.

Not a Fart of course. It may demoralizing you at most, but not kill you.

Anyway, while I was waiting at the arrival hall, I happen to notice something different with people coming from all over the world.

They were wearing masks!!

Even this two girls came properly suited from top to toe to ensure that the air would not even come close to touching them. If they had a chance to bring oxygen masks, I'm sure they would!!

Nearly every freaking tourist that came to Malaysia, decided that breathing the air of Malaysia wasn't a very good thing.

At first I thought it couldn't be the fart problem in airports right?It couldn't be!!

nor could it be the terrible haze that we have been experiencing lately.

Then it occurred to me,

AH1N1!!

ARRGGHHH I WASN'T WEARING A MASK!!!EVEN THE OTHER FELLARS WEREN'T EITHER!!

Well, dear readers, I guess if you don't hear from me in a near future, I got affected by the virus. There is a slight chance it could be nothing since, there are more affected people then people actually dying from it. Its not like you get it then you die.

Buttt......

If you are reading this part down here, I'll probably won't be around to tell you who i've been mixing when I first got hit. Here's a list of people you SHOULD quarantine.

Ok, I must admit that I have not been hearing his songs for a very long time but lately, i've been watching some videos on youtube over and over again since I don't think my cassettes that recorded his songs from radio would work at this present age.

Really brings back memories.

Civil Defense catches monitor lizard

After what Bomba did to my snake the last time, I decided to call the Civil Defense.

After what they did to the snake, they do not deserve another animal to catch from me. Stick to "Killing" fire which you do best!

Because this time around, I got something else. A monitor Lizard.

Not just any monitor lizard, but a water monitor lizard. Apparently, the mouth has all kinds of bacteria that if you get bitten, things will just get really bad. When I say bad, I mean really really bad. (I don't know never got bitten before)

Well, it got stuck after climbing up the wall of my house and found out that there is no more rocky mountain for it to grip for it to go further and find it really difficult to get back down without risking its life altogether.

Now at first, I was actually going to do a Bear Gryll's on this one but because its so much easier to test out the civil defense this time, I decided to call them instead.

So, I dialed 999, and before you know it, they arrived infront of my house in a nice white jeep. Its funny, how in such a short span of time I get visited by all this emergency rescue fellars. Quite happening come to think of it.

4 well trained civil defense officers came well-dressed to catch one hopeless monitor lizard.

When in real actual Malaysian fact, only one person does the job while others watch.

The others would at most pretend to work a bit like move flower pots. I meant A flower pot.

So, they have the same tool, and as usual, loop it around the head and soon, the lizard is flying in the air,

and was brought down to ground.

Now, I figured, the civil defense was going to be as cruel as the Bomba by smashing the head of the lizard like the last time,

but they didn't.

The lizard is put inside a cage that they came prepared with in the jeep.

The guy needed a smoke after such a hard day's job.

Lizard was very aggressive.

So, they needed to cool it down with water.

The lizard actually cools down after being splashed by water.

They put it inside the jeep and soon, they were on their way.

Anyway, what we can see here, the civil defense do a better job in capturing wild animals. They don't kill the animal right infront of you!

They're civilised remember. People regarded as civil, works in civil defense. How can you not act civil infront of civilians.

All I know is, somewhere back at the base, they will probably have a big feast out of that delicious lizard with barbeque sauce to go with it. World is unfair isn't it!

A smart place to Beg, What a smart Begger!

Sometimes I wonder whether the begging business in Penang has been affected ever since the recession.

Begging business in Penang is one of the most difficult business to do in the world simply because

No matter how ugly you look,

No matter how cacat you have become,

No matter how close you try to look like the hunchback of notre dame,

No matter how some of your limbs got chopped off (no idea why?),

Despite all the hardwork to survive in such a trivial business, Penang people will not sympathize at all!!

You will not even get a cent for begging over here. It's not because Penang people are a bunch of Kiam Siap people. Those tricks just does not work on us anymore.

Even if you are still able to beg with one hand, people in Penang feels that you are gifted enough to use that hand to work. We will not give money to undeserving lazy people.

Even the merit of donating to beggers that will improve our Karma points will not change our mind of giving money to beggers.

For those of you who don't know what Karma is, it is the total effect of a person's actions and conduct during the successive phases of the person's existence, regarded as determining the person's destiny.

In short, the begging business has to move with the times. Reinvent itself. People are getting more educated and thus beggers have to find new ways to source their income.

Sometimes I feel its the place that they're doing it which is wrong. They're always doing it at the coffee-shops disturbing and disgusting people while they're eating.

Anyway, last weekend, for the first time, I happen to see a reason why the begging business is moving in a new direction and that they will survive during this trying times.

You see..Last Friday while I was having an over-priced beer with Monica and Han Hong

at SOI 11 which has a fantastic view that oversees the entrance of MOIS,

we saw a begger.

That's right! A BEGGER IN FRONT OF MOIS!!COULD HE NOT FIND A BETTER PLACE TO BEG!

While our intentions are very clear why we we were sitting at SOI 11 other than to have a chat,

the begger also had similar intentions as well.

When his not looking at the left

His eyes are looking at the right.

When his eyes are not looking at the right, his looking at the center.

And when there is nothing else (you should know what by now) to see, the begger starts working.

Now I don't know about you, while the rest of us were losing money buying over-priced drinks in SOI 11, the begger was earning money!!

The begger went from table to table and people were simply donating money.

Even the table infront of us that opened a bottle of wine that had the same intentions as everybody else who were sitted there, even donated to the begger.

We were all stunned, why are all this people donating money to this half-cacat begger which is not even a 5-star cacatness job.

Then it came to our turn.

Somehow, unluckily, the begger's hand was pointing at me almost like as if i'm suppose to be giving him money from this table.

For awhile then, I was not going to sympathise and give any form of charitable money to this begger. I am a PENANG person. I will not sympathise with those who can still work.

While the begger was standing there, I began to realise that everybody sitted around us, started looking at our table. The kind of look that says, Kiam Siap Bugger who buys over-priced beer but can't even help the half cacat begger.

The pressure was building. It almost came to a point where it was making Monica look really bad. I mean why is this girl hanging out with this bunch of losers. The time has come to find out the true colors whether he is really well-off or just showing that he could just pay for over-priced beer.

Alright, so the begger did his homework. Societal pressure was upon us. Monica was also giving us a look of wondering how far I would actually go.

For his homework, I guess he deserves a bit of money to survive the recession. At first, I was going to reach out to some left-over coins in my pocket, then it hit upon me of something I read in Desmond's blog about the 10 things I should never do in front of a girl. Now I don't know about him, but I only think of things I can do infront of a girl like being generous.

LIKE REALLY GENEROUS!!THE MOST GENEROUS GUY ON EARTH!!

To safe Monica's grace, I took out 10 bucks and gave the BEGGER. It's like opening champagne in the club while other people are only opening a bottle of whisky.

So with 10 ringgit, society pressure was finally over. People felt I was a rich bugger. People felt Monica was mixing with the right people. Monica had a longer smile the entire night. My Karma improved as well. I am a good hearted person. My future looks good. My lovelife looks good. Everything looks good. It looks like a win-win situation.

Actually, realistically, I felt I was dumb and all I can think of the entire night is what a smart place to beg at a nightclub where people are known to flash money around to gain attention, what a smart begger!

I bet somewhere out there, he is filling up petrol in his mercedes benz. Apparently, I heard that the begger has been begging over there for awhile. If you ask me, I think the begging business is recession proof , now that they've targeted the right place.

The Mama's Nyonya Cuisine Restaurant

Sometimes the reason why I don't blog about what I eat is simply because I eat to live. Its simply because there is nothing really fancy to show what I eat everyday.

If its not Char Koay Teow for lunch

Then its Wan Tan Mee

And when its not wan tan mee, its hokien mee

and when its not hokkien mee, its mee sotong.

and when there are certain times I feel that there should be more to life and decide to change my lifestyle by living to eat,

I WOULD AT MOST go to a restaurant such as Mcdonalds which I do not need to explain further why I go there.

Even the drinks I take everyday is not fancy enough for me to blog about.

If its not Barli Peng,

its teh peng,

and when its not teh peng, its tsui kam peng (lime juice),

and when there are certain times, I feel there is a need to change my lifestyle by living a healthier life by not consuming sweet drinks,

I don't order any drinks at all, only to be fined by the coffeeshop for RM0.30 which comes with a cup of plain hot water. Not joking seriously!

In my part of the world, if hot water comes at RM0.30, you DRINK IT DOWN SLOWLY, almost like you're drinking champagne or white wine for that matter.

Sometimes, I wonder what I would do if I were to have a girlfriend and she desires for food that looked like this every day.

Yes I may have to change my lifestyle to suit her's. Maybe i'll be able to blog about my food more often as well.

But I also know for a fact that, I would have to depend on biscuits for the rest of my life when she's not around.

Not just any biscuits.

But Jacobs that comes in rectangular form that comes in the few hundreds in a tin just like this,

that would allow me to survive for a couple or more months.

Thankfully, that has not happened yet, so instead of waiting for something like that to happen, a few days ago, I decided to pamper myself by having something nice to eat.

Here's something different from my usual average meals that I would love to share with you which you must understand by now how happy I am to do so.

I went to a place called Mama's.

A nyonya cuisine restaurant.

Its located at Abu Siti Lane in Penang which is a distance from where I'm standing to the time you enter the road.

Its a place where from the looks of it, Jimmy Choo has dined before.

Its a place where Nicole David goes to have her nyonya food as well. That would be me pointing her picture which was also autographed as well.

Basically its a place where celebrity goes.

If you come here, and they do not ask for your autograph or take a picture with you, YOU KNOW YOU'RE NOT FAMOUS!

At most times, I would quickly run off and have Nasi Lemak down the road, but wanting to know what celebrities find soo good about the food here, I decided to carry on further.

So when the food arrived, I decided to take some shots, MANY SHOTS, almost accidentally stepping the toes of the shop keepers that looked like I was taking shots so I could make replica's of the famous food back in Sow Tow Lane and sell it much cheaper. Good and cheap which goes very well with Penangites.

Anyway, coming back to the food.

Sometimes, I don't know how many chickens had to sacrifice themselves to satisfy my happy stomach.

This is Nyonya soup with fine cut pig intestines. Taste good actually.

And there was also the Nyonya Bubur Cha Cha for desert as well.

Now, it may not look like alot since eating at restaurants is not really my forte, but while I was enjoying the interior of the shop

which really had a nyonya feeling to it with nyonya clothes hanged all over the wall, the bill finally came.

For all that, it cost me RM180 bucks. 180 BUCKS!!I mean that's gotta be one hell of a chicken we just ate!!!

Anyway, I would say the food is quite good, satisfied really, actually FANTASTIC!!Better than what i've been eating everyday, but as for the price,

It may not sound like a lot to alot of rich people, but like I said, as for us from this part of the world, I guess nyonya food will always remain and be at most, a packet of Nasi Lemak.

I'm a standout in life!

I'M A STANDOUT IN LIFE!!!

I'm such a standout in life that if you are given a chance to count the number of times I standout as compared to the number of times I "sitout", you would never finish.

It's like counting the number of hair on my not-so-furry dog.

Even if that may come as not too challenging, it's like counting the number of leaves on say..a rainforest tree.

There is just so many reason why I standout but i'm just going to say a few in order not to be to cocky with myself which scares me sometimes. I will start with something simple like going to the club.

When I go to the club, I go in for FREE!FREE FREE FREE!

And when I go to the club, there are always people waiting for me to bring in them for free!(Sometimes you wonder why there are so many people standing outside the club)

And when I am in the club, I order nothing but a few dozen champagne to celebrate another day in the club. I don't order whisky, I don't order vodka, I don't order anything else but champagne. Nothing more, nothing less. But then again, not just any Champagne, but moet& chandon.

But this Champagne is not for me because the only thing I drink in the club is nothing more than the lovable Tiger Beer. (good one?hehe)

The champagne are for my friends because I always feel that a joyous party can only happen when your friends feel good about themselves on the night.

And when I go back from the club, my car is waiting for me right outside the club. I go back home with nothing less than a Ferrari F430. Not just any Ferrari but a modified Ferrari. Apparently I hired some ex-engineers from Ferrari to modify the car for me.

But the Ferrari F430 is mainly one of my spare cars that I bought some time ago which I use to go clubbing with only, because as we all know, every time we go back from clubbing, the smoke smell is just out of this world causing my car to be very smelly. Thus, I must admit, the F430 is filled with that smoke smell already. Why affect the other nice cars!

Besides, the Ferrari was bought with the spare change after buying my private jet that I use to travel all over the world with.

Most of the time, I would drive the limited edition Bugatti Veyron to get to work in time.

Once awhile, I would drive my lamborghini which sometimes lack speed.

And when i'm very humble and down-to-earth, I would drive out my Nissan Skyline, not just any Skyline but the Nissan Skyline GTR R35 which is not out in the market yet, to race together with the Ah Beng's in KL.

Of course I would always win, simply because the engineers I hired would modify my Nissan to the extreme. The competition I would say is non-existent most of the time, but for the minor thrill on the roads of KL, I would race with them.

At most times I would be spending my time in Sepang driving some of my fast re-engineered sports car. But Sepang at most times is not good enough for me.

I would invite some of my friends to race in my very own-built racing track at my house that is made by the worlds reknowned racing track architects. I call it, "The Only Fast Lane".

Because money is of no issue to me, certain times when my mood is good, I would give away one of my Lamborghini to deserving friends who may not be able to afford a car like that in their entire lifetime.

So that my friends will be able to join me at my race track and to race with my newer Lamborghini.

or with my other spare car for that matter which requires warming up from time to time. My passion for cars is definitely unquestionable.

While my cocky rich attitude and boy toys happen to make me a standout among people, there is more to it than what already meets the eye.

I am such a standout in life for my passion in building.

My passion in building is unmatchable.

Whenever I drink Tiger Beer, I would always dream of building the tallest building in the world in KL. Some people may find it very cocky because there is already the twin towers, but my dreams has no boundary only with Tiger Beer.

So the next time, you see something like this coming out from the Earth next to Twin Towers, you would know who did it.

In the mean time, I would build buildings made out of Tiger Beer Bottles. Since there isn't really a place to recycle beer bottles, I made sure that the world is a better place by my passion in building homes out of recycled beer bottles.

Homeless people would have homes because of my Tiger Beer Bottle concept. A cheap and affordable concept home that would benefit homeless people all over the world which would improve the standard of living compared to the traditional atap roof homes.

I'm also a standout for my house parties.

Whenever I have parties at home, everyone in my house has to join me and drink Tiger Beer.There is no other drinks served other than Tiger Beer. Its not that I buy a few packs of Tiger at one time,

my beers come in the truck load.

Enough Tiger Beers to help an entire community survive throughout a year long drought.

I'm also a standout for my collection of Tiger Beer Bottles

especially the blue one.

Because Tiger Beer bottles are so unique and that I am so fascinated by the color and also because I drink so much Tiger Beer, I would have them stacked up to form a tree.

My garden would be filled up with Tiger Bottles to make my garden look Blue!

Blue is Beautiful.

Now..You're probably wondering what I do during most of the time since earning money is not really an issue because I worked so hard during my younger days in which Tiger Beer helped along the way to lower down my stress.

I play the Tiger Beer Game on facebook.

That's right, I would keep on shooting bottles for no apparent reason simply because I find it fun and have too much free time.

While I may seem to be a standout for my cocky rich personality, I'm also a standout in my life for my love to do good for other people who are in need.
There is no point living if you cannot help others.

I'm a standout for offering loans that is catered to help the urban people.

Don't get me wrong! My Loans is not like the Ah Long's.

Given a certain amount of time, if the loan is unpaid, unlike the recent case where Ah Long's are starting to cage people like animals, my fund would provide jobs. There is no point caging people if they cannot work and repay back their debts.

The loan debtors would have no choice but to serve in my not-so-profitable organisation to repay back their loans.

Their job is relatively to do anything. We could send them to Iraq to fight the war when required. We could send them to Afghanistan to help the injured. We could send them out whenever we have a flood. We could send them out to clean our dirty rivers of Malaysia to make them clean again. Relatively humane jobs.

They would be given a chance to earn and repay their loans which at the same time would benefit mankind and make earth greener again. Not to say, given a proper job.

So as you can see, I'm a standout in life.

As much as you could believe that all this could be true or how big a crap all that could be, I always believe that we are all unique and we can be what we want to be because....

With Tiger Beer, we standout!

Sometimes I wonder if i'm such a standout, why do I need to blog to get an entry into the party? Hmmm....Mind Boggling..Mind Blasting...Gotta drink more Tiger Beers!

A couple of days ago when the clock struck 12pm, I met up with a few friends who were also affected by the recession, to have lunch at Mcdonalds.

Sometimes you might wonder what do people actually do when they're affected by the recession. When I say affected by the recession, I mean literally losing our jobs.

Now, when you lose your job, it does not necessarily mean we end up as drug addicts or convert ourselves to monks or become thieves or end up as beggers on the streets or try our luck in Genting Highlands casino's hoping to earn something to continue living.

What really happens is that....

You'd probably hear less of us. Our phone is forever engaged because we can no longer pay for the subscription any longer to Maxis.

Even if you do get to reach us by call, we would have no choice but to squash all chances of meeting to not only avoid shame but to avoid expensive places that we would be meeting.

You won't even see our facebook account anymore because we have cancelled it as there isn't really anything more to share other than the tough times that we are going through.

Even if you do see our facebook account, literally you will not see any form of action in there, almost like as if we left earth to go to Mars or something. Most probably because there isn't anymore internet line to check our facebook account.

You'd probably won't even see us online on msn anymore.

and if you have a hot girlfriend

which isn't going to accept Mcdonalds as her lunch for the next few years since the economy has been expected to get much worst before it gets better, then its time to take a step back and "BE A MAN, DO THE RIGHT THING!"

All this is happening because we'd have to save. Every cent spent will be coming out from our own savings.

Now...When it comes to eating, we recession people make sure that we spend money on food that is of value worth. It doesn't take alot for us recessionary(jobless) people to find OUT that there is this one amazing value for money meal in town which is the Mcdonalds McValue Meal.

Its everywhere!!

Mcdonalds has came up with this fantastic deals for the past few months, targeted to us recessionary people out there to help us during this trying times.

Its like a discount handed over to you every single day.

In Malaysia, sometimes you just don't really see the effect of recession. Some people say that Malaysia is not affected because we have strong banking fundamentals and etc. etc.

But while I was queueing up to order at Mcdonalds, I experienced some of this small things that show we are actually in fact in a recession.

People are donating much much less.

Don't get me wrong, people are still donating. Maybe just enough to make some kids in south Africa happy for a brief moment with a few packet of hacks.

Couples on their first date have to share a Mcvalue meal. (I suppose he know's that the mcvalue meal is the most valuable meal in town to bring his girlfriend )

Children have to work harder by acting cuter to get the toys they want but eventually not getting anything.

There was also this couple which after some misunderstanding added more value to their Mcvalue Meal by asking for a plastic bag which probably will be used later to bring back some left-overs to keep their children happy at home with mcdonald french fries.

Ok, so you're probably wondering how my friends and I had our Mcvalue Lunch.

WE SHARE!! You heard me right. The four of us would share a meal.

We would just order one Mcvalue Meal which is the McChicken at RM5.95.

Not Spicy chicken Mcdeluxe at RM7.95.

Not even tasty Big Mac which is also at RM7.95.

We wouldn't even get carried away by making our meal larger for RM1.20 knowing that the burger doesn't get any bigger than it already is.

Our budget was RM5.95. Even then, we knew we would already be off budget. Knowing Mcdonalds, we even came prepared with a few more cents, knowing that after tax, what you see on newspaper and what you pay is different.

Our McChicken totaled up to RM 6.25. (If there was anything that the government can learn from Mcdonalds, its time to slash your tax as well!!Recession????)

The good thing about sharing though, is that, everybody comes on time.

So everyone had their share of burger that is proportionally divided by the size of our mouths.

and when it came to the Coca-cola, as much as we were sick sharing over-licked burger,

we made sure the drink this time was shared properly.

Being at Mcdonalds, straws were free.

The straws were then placed at an angle almost like as if everyone just knew which were their's to make sure there was no mix up.

and when the cup eventually dries up, there was always a free refill. A self-service jug filled with coke so there's always enough drinks for everyone on the table. It is well known that people like us would eventually pour some of this coke into an empty bottle to be brought back home.

This free refill alone is enough to put a smile on the many faces of people affected by recession like us.

While the free refill happens to be one of the more reasons that makes this Mcvalue Meal so valuable in town, there are other benefits as well.

For RM5.95, you get Air-Cond. Something we do not have in our homes ever since we have been hit by recession. Its nice and cold environment definitely lets us enjoy the Mcvalue Meal comfortably.

For RM5.95, you get to use their basin. They have a basin so that we can enjoy and practice a certain amount of hygiene before and after eating, something we do not get to practice in our homes ever since we cut down on soap.

For RM 5.95, we get to use their free wi-fi. Which means we have free internet access. Combination of free Refilled Coke, Free Wi-fi, and free air-cond, there is definitely no other place that gives you a better time with Facebook.

While, I must admit that there are definitely cheaper food in Penang called Char Koay Teow, it definitely does not provide a balanced and nutritious meal like McValue Meal does.

You have protein, salt, carbohydrates, energy..

I mean how wrong could you possibly get!

So at the end of the day, before everybody left to figure out what else they can do to survive through this economic downturn, the bill is divided among the four of us which came up to RM1.56 each.

RM1.56!!!

WHERE IN THE WORLD CAN YOU FIND A MORE VALUABLE MEAL IN TOWN!!

So, if you ask me have I had my Mcvalue Lunch this week?

Well yes i did!!

Not only did we have McValue meal for lunch, we made Value out of McValue Meal.

Painful but not that painful

Today, I witness what I call its ok if my car got knocked. When I say knock, I mean dent because most cars would try to avoid knocking my car because it's just not worth it.

Just awhile ago, I saw my car which was parked along side the road nicely scraped by a brand new black honda accord because the driver turned too early only to find its entire door scraped by my bumper.

In normal circumstances, the driver would come down and check the damage of their car as well as the damage done to my car and I would have come running after the driver to get things sorted out in an unmannerly way like an uneducated person from Jelutong.

But it happens that the driver just drove off knowing that he just knocked an old piece of trash and it wouldn't make any difference to my car. Anyhow, I didn't feel the damage reflected was alot which I will be able to cover up by buying a tin of black spray.

A few hours later, I happen to find that the front of my car had a bump just like this.

Now I don't know, what to say. I feel pain that all this is happening to my car in such a short time today, but not the kind of pain had this dent happen to be on a new car say Ferrari or something.

It's like having a pimple on the face that you'd feel irritated for awhile but forgotten in a short time.

Sigh, now I also got to bring a hammer out to straighten it.

I guess there are some benefits in driving an old car. Nobody is talking about the knocks that's happening to my car in my family somehow. I guess its not really an issue.

Yesterday, I bought something from Jusco so that I could sign up and get this card for free. Now, I don't know how much people actually have to pay to get such a card but oh well, if its free, why not??

Apparently it comes with some sort of VIP car park for shopping and it simply just collects points. That's all I know for now.

Bomba Catches Cobra

Last Sunday, Bomba came over my grandmother's house.

It wasn't because of fire.

It wasn't because of a cat that knew how to get up a tree and did not know how to get down.

Even the fire hydrant in front of them that had a tree growing in it, was not even part of the reason why they came.

It was because we had a snake problem. A snake that was hiding in a hole under a flower pot.

Now..at most times, I would have done a Steve Irwin move on the snake,

but because Bomba services are free and definitely more experienced than I am in catching snakes by having the necessary tools to do the job, I decided to call them instead.

I accidentally dialed 911 which in actual fact should be 999, but somehow, the nice girl on the phone whom after taking down my particulars handed my call over to Bomba. (I suppose any number still works since we Malaysians are really confused on which emergency number to call.)

So, after about 40 minutes since I did not put in a way that the snake was going to KILL US, they FINALLY arrived.

you'd probably be wondering how our firemen looks like and why girls in our country doesn't go wild when they see one, well, behold the snake catcher..

i'm sure there are "girlsss" but i'm pretty sure they'd not go wild. But then again, maybe with the snakes around, they would and he would think it would be for him.

Now, not everybody can be Steve Irwin.

It takes at least three firemen to come and catch a snake.

They had the necessary tool

and here's something educational in catching snakes if your inner Steve Irwin decides to.

In order to flush the snake out, what Bomba did was spray insecticide.

That's right, just like a flash bomb for humans. Just keep spraying insecticide into the hole!

If that wasn't enough, being at a Grandmother's House, insecticide was plentiful.

Make sure the trap was set just like this!

Eventually, the snake decides to come out.

Bomba Fireman got the snake pinned down with one stick and another fireman had his rope tool around the head of the snake. Let's just say, the snake has been caught.

And when you thought that everything is over and the snake would now enjoy a good life of free KFC finger-licking good food in some zoo everyday for the rest of its life and being admired by people for its existence on this earth,

WHAM!!

The fireman smacks its head with another funny looking tool in my grandmother's house like a guillotine.

WHAMS AGAIN!!

The snake is finally dead. The threat is finally over with the head totally disfigured.

The snake was actually a black Cobra. It was this long.

I couldn't help but take a close-up picture of this pityful snake.

I thought they were going to catch it not KILL IT!!If only Steve Irwin was still around.

I REGRET CALLING BOMBA!!
