MOIS in Penang

Some night ago, while enjoying some satay at the famous Momo Satay right outside a night club also called Momo (I guess that is where the club got its name from..maybe...)

I noticed that this place where I was standing right outside this club was not as happening as before.

eating satay at this corner used to be alot more exciting

I guess its about time to move on to find an affordable place to chill and at the same time have a good time...with the "view" of course

Walking down that particular stretch(moving on), I noticed a new night club newly opened in Penang.

Its spelled MOIS. Some call this night club "M-U-A" some call it "M-O-I-S". The difference is really whether you want to be an Ah Beng or Ang Mor.

Already, the name shows how exclusive this club is before you even enter.

Judging from the amount of people waiting outside to cash in "their parents money" to have a good time inside this club, i knew this was definitely the most happening club at the moment comparing to my MOMO satay corner just now.

So, not wasting any more time on the outside, I walked inside the night club to see how happening it was. Apparently, you can go in for free before 1030pm(unknown people from this earth that is). I really had to know whats so exclusive about this place. I mean I don't even know why people like to go to such places at night.

First you go through a galaxy like tunnel for people going through hard times and wanting to go to a more peaceful place, at least away from earth for awhile(reality))

The Bar

The Dj Area

The dance floor with the balls at the top

The other end of the club (right next to the stage)

The toilet (of course there is a place to pee!!Its beyond that door!!)

and Semi-VIP seat

Before i knew it, I was taking a different kind of picture. All kinds of people started entering the night club. The crowd looked something like this.

Now some of you may say,

Well don't jump into conclusion yet, because this club has much more to offer.

This club has an area specially reserved for the most exclusive people in Penang, earth for that matter, or lets just put it this way...look good and richness is a minimum requirement.

Driving a BMW should be a minimum requirement.

Now....The entrance to this private area is specially guarded by two guards

which will stop any low grade human being (the bottom of the society chain) from entering and disturbing the environment in the private area.

Now I would like to show you how this reserved area looks like but oh well...we got to know where we stand don't we...

all i know is that i'm troubled with the fact that there will always be pretty girls inside that I would never know about compared to outside..

DAMN it sucks being poor and not good looking!!

so, if there's anything to do with the equation that money = chicks (sexy pretty girls), you know what I mean down here..

Nevertheless, the club really plays good R&B music and i really like it. Its so good, some of this guys and girls can't really remember how'd they manage to do the elephant dance together.

Looking at what the club has to offer. Will I come back here another time?

Hmmm..., but i definitely found a new spot to replace my Momo satay corner though...

What place is that?

Outside here...

What a wonderful sitting spot to chill...

My New Year Eve 2008

9 days have passed and guess what.

I have already failed my new year resolution.

Its difficult to think of something called "marriage".

(earlier chatting with one of my schoolmate who happens to be bringing his fiancee' to penang after chinese new year to plan for their big wedding day)

when i could hardly do something as simple as updating my blog.

Marriage is all about responsibility and oh well...just to cut things short, i have a long way to go.

"Can't even update your blog!!" SPIT!!!

Anyway I had wanted to update my blog..

Really!!Yes yes reasons after reasons i know..but seriously i was waiting for pictures to write this post to get the ball rolling again. Yes yes...this post was much awaited for by me.

and so..i have finally received it, special thanks to Soon Yang who may have spent part of his working hours sending the pictures through e-mail.

So, what was new years eve like for me. (that's if you're interested in what boring people do holding boring parties in a house)

You see, back in Penang, there are just about that many places that you could go and celebrate new years eve.

This year i have managed to not be at upper penang road, where this was happening.

I also did not spent my new year eve at a very newly opened night club called MOIS which was just as happening on new years eve.

with many familiar faces that i could have met if i was there

I also did not spent my new years eve at QE2 which would have been filled with these happening people. Some that i even know...(well that was last year, hehe...just jk)

and other more rather familiar faces

and of course nothing less expected at QE2.

and things like this looking on the outside.

And of course there is the option of going to gurney drive, that is if you want to be flushed away by FRU(Federal Reserve unit) for not behaving well.

So, looking at all the pictures so far through friendsters and facebook which happens to appear so quickly showing everyone how happening their new year eve was,

I celebrated new years eve with a bunch of friends in my house(partly rented) who all decided to have a rather quiet new years eve and really spending quality time with one another instead of jumping from one table to another table meeting thousands of "long lost friends" at a night club.

This year we did something rather special. Something i'll always remember that we would never ever be doing in a night club.

WE HAD CHAMPAGNE! Sponsored by Benjamin and Andrew Tan.

It all felt that we were celebrating new years eve the right way. (Well at least i felt it was the right way)

Sooo, whats next, we took pictures

More pictures

Until we found out, we were over-doing the whole taking pictures with the champagne thing

Not only was there champagne, there was also a secret recipe cake which is a must for any new year party. Sponsored by Soon yang.

Hmmm..somebody had to take pictures with the cake as well which was also over-done...the things people do on the first day of new year..sigh....the specialty of the cake ended there..haha..

Now..some of you may think that most of the pretty girls would either be in QE2 or MOIS or in some other happening place for that matter that night,

Well some pretty girls decided to spend new years eve quietly as well.

All in all, looking back at the pictures of that day, I thought nobody was drunk until....

BEN WAT WERE U DOING!!!hahaha..He was trying to drink more champagne out from 2 empty bottles!!!

That was my new years eve. It was small and nice. Enjoyable it was.

Take note: some of the pictures at happening places had been taken from friends friendsters and facebook. Well, that's because i was not there to see what was happening there.
